P.A. system The heart of our P.A. is formed by a 48 channel, digital Roland M-400 V-Mixer, now provided with possibilities for a max of 6 independent monitor mixes, and various effect and equalizing settings. The sound of Kilshannig is further produced by two EON15 G2 powered speakers, and 5 Dynacord AM12 powered monitors. Each speaker is provided with extensive equalizing possibilities. This system is appropriate for venues up to 200 people (in case of concerts up to 400 people). Our sound engineer Maria Postma has control of it all!

Instrument amplification Guitars, bass guitar and bouzouki are all provided with the PM-system developed by Jan Verweij. More information can be found at www.verweijpmsystems.nl. Through a simple effect-unit, including DI, these instruments are connected directly with the line-in of our mixing console. The double bass is provided with a Fishman bridge element. Here too a simple effect-unit is used, connecting the instrument with the line-in. A similar system is used for the fiddle. Concertina, Whistles, Bodhràn and all other instruments (including our voices!) are amplified with different appropriate microphones.
