Ten years after Kilshannig bought their trusty
Allen & Heath Mix Wizard, they decided to exchange it for something
completely different. Jan did the exploratory research, and finally a
choice was made for the digital Roland M-400 V-Mixer! We now have a
maximum of 48 channels at our disposal, and in the present setup 6
separate monitor mixes. Electronic communication between stage and mixer
is all via a Cat-5 computer cable, so we don't need cumbersome and
delicate multi-cables any longer. There are lots of buttons to control
almost everything, and all settings can be saved. After a few intensive
rehearsals Maria and the band had their "baptism of fire" in theatre "La
Brèche" in Wormerveer last September 26, and everything sounded great!
